The Glencadam Scotch whiskies were brought in by Single Malt Sdn Bhd

Single Malt Sdn Bhd, Malaysia’s premiere single malt and spirits retailer and distributor, continues to advance the single malt market here in Malaysia. The company has now introduced a new range of highly rated Glencadam single malt Scotch whiskies for the benefit of whisky afficionados.

Available from May 2023 in specialist retail outlets and selected bars are seven of the distillery’s expressions. This includes the non-age stated Origin 1825, American Oak Reserve, Reserva Andalucia, age-stated 10, 13 and 15 Year Old and the prestigious 25 Year Old.

Malaysian Debut

The range of Glencadam whiskies available here reflect that demand; starting from the accessible and pleasing for whisky fans, to the mature and premium single malts for the discerning drinker.”

Origins

Glencadam first opened in 1825, in Brechin, North East of Scotland and since its founding the brand has maintained a reputation as a premium malt whisky for blending. Since its inception, it has remained a highly reputable distillery that creates some of the world’s most prestigious blends.

In 2003, the Distillery was purchased by Angus Dundee Distillers, an independent Scottish company. Under the new owners, the brand released the first range of Glencadam Single Malt Scotch Whisky starting with a 15 Year Old, just two years later.

The Accolades

Its current multi-award-winning range now includes the 10, 15 and 21 Year Old expressions, including the Category Winner for Highland Single Malt 12 Years and Under at the World Whisky Awards for the Glencadam 10 Year Old; Gold Outstanding Medals at the 2022 International Wine & Spirits Competition (IWSC) for the Glencadam American Oak Reserve, Reserva Andalucía & 15 Years Old, which all scored 98 out of 100.
