This luxury watch is truly different in a unique way

Kross Studio has been on a hot streak of successful collaborations this year and the brand is giving us one final collab this year just in time for the holidays. The design house is now partnering with renowned designer Alain Silberstein to give us a watch so different, it’s unique. Enter the Lotus Tourbillon.

Silberstein contacted Kross Studio in the summer of 2021to discuss his vision for a lotus-inspired timepiece that would capture the essence of the sacred Asian flower. Based on these pictures, it looks like he succeeded. Just looking at it forces you to stare as its beauty is not one that can be fully appreciated in just one glance.

Moreover, a brief meeting between Silberstein and Kross Studio Founder Marco Tedeschi led to a truckload of ideas being formed. One of its was a formal plan to bring the stunning Lotus Tourbillon to life using the Kross Studio central Tourbillon (The KS 7’000 caliber) as the foundation.

Alain Silberstein: “I was blown away by the first central vortex created by Kross Studio which depicted the Death Star from Star Wars. Curious, I made an appointment to get to know this talented team. I thought our first meeting would last about an hour. Four hours later, we were still in a meeting, creating what would become the Lotus Tourbillon. What was supposed to be just a first contact turned into a creative meeting.” he added.Lotus

The famous KS 7’000 caliber from Kross Studio is the result of months of research and development. It features an oversized barrel offering a 5-day power reserve and has a regulator in the centre with a tourbillon cage at the top of the barrel. This same design carries forward in the Lotus Tourbillon.

Furthermore, on the back of the Lotus Tourbillon is a D-ring winder which allows easy movement winding. You can also set the time via the push button between the 3 and 4 o’ clock position. The push button even comes with Silberstein’s signature bold graphic style and is engraved and filled with an energizing yellow lacquer.Kross

Additionally, the Lotus Tourbillon also comes delivered in a unique handcrafted watch case. This is no ordinary case however, as it is a piece of art in its own right and is both visually striking and functional. The best part about it is that it was designed specially for this occasion.

Naturally, the Lotus Tourbillon is limited to only eighteen pieces and also comes with a certificate of authenticity signed by Alain Silberstein and Marco Tedeschi along with an owner’s book.Kross
