Directed by Mark Linfield and co-directed by Vanessa Berlowitz, the documentary explores life high in the rainforest canopy, capturing the behaviour and environment of orangutans in close detail. The film focuses on both the everyday rhythms and key transitions in Indah’s life, offering a more intimate perspective on the species.

Produced by Linfield, Berlowitz and Roy Conli, with an original score by Nitin Sawhney, Orangutan combines cinematic wildlife footage with a character-driven narrative, continuing Disneynature’s approach of blending storytelling with environmental awareness.
