Catch Bunkface at this showcase at the Dewan Filharmonik Petronas this September

On Saturday, 28 September 2024, at 8:30 pm, the iconic indie band Bunkface will take the stage, delivering a high-energy performance that promises to captivate audiences.

The Origin

Bunkface, formed in 2006, has cemented its place in Malaysia’s music scene with its distinctive pop-punk sound and engaging lyrics. From their early Myspace success, where they quickly amassed 100,000 followers, to becoming a household name, Bunkface has consistently impressed fans with their dynamic live shows.

Their debut single, “Silly Lilly,” released in 2006, set the stage for a series of hit releases, including their acclaimed EP “Lesson of the Season” and the track “Situasi,” which further propelled their popularity.

The Hits

Over the years, Bunkface has released five studio albums, including “Bunk Not Dead” (2012), “Malam Ini Kita Punya” (2014), and “Pop” (2018). They’ve earned nominations at the MTV European Music Awards, won accolades at Anugerah Bintang Popular and Shout Awards, and were finalists at Anugerah Juara Lagu.

A notable highlight of theirs was the anthem “Kita Punya Malaysia,” which celebrated Malaysia’s National Day. This concert at DFP is a highly anticipated event, as it marks Bunkface’s return for a full 90-minute showcase, featuring both classic hits and fresh tracks from their upcoming album.
