The London-based skateboarding and clothing label teams up with the German luggage brand

Rimowa is back again and this time, the brand is proud to announce its debut collaboration with London-based skateboarding and clothing brand, Palace. The two brands come together to find common ground in their appreciation for daring designs and the kind of style you won’t find anywhere else.

This time around, Rimowa and Palace are giving us a limited-edition suitcase and a deck and sticker set. Both designs merge the century-old heritage of German engineering that Rimowa is known for as well as the unique but eye-catching approach to fashion and streetwear taken by Palace.

Moreover, the Palace Rimowa Original Cabin Desert Suitcase shows off the German brand’s technical expertise and it also features a design of vibrant artwork depicting a dystopic desert landscape against the aluminium backdrop. This design is finished in an air-brushed aesthetic designed by artists at Palace.

The artwork featured on the palace designed Rimowa bag showcases a nomadic figure walking towards a chrome monolith which appears to be watched over by a sand sculpture of a woman. To achieve the seamless gradient as well as bright and vibrant colours of the bag Rimowa leveraged on its mastery of digital printing.

Joining the collection is the Palace Rimowa deck, which celebrates the spirit of mobility, a notion underpinned by both brands. The deck also features a reinterpretation of the ‘infinity’ artwork that is featured on the interior of the suitcase along with the two brand names imprinted throughout.

The ‘infinity’ artwork represents both brand’s shared values of creating quality and long-lasting products. Logos of both Rimowa and Palace are also featured on the other side of the deck. Measuring 21.59cm in width, the deck is also made of 7 ply Canadian Maple wood under the Regrowth Programme.

Part of this collaborative collection includes a sticker set, featuring iconic logos of both brands. The collaboration is also celebrated with a film set in a dystopian journey featuring Rory Milanes and Charlie Birch from the Palace skate team.

The Palace Rimowa collection including the suitcase, deck and sticker sets will all be available from 10 February 2023 onwards in all Rimowa stores worldwide and online.
