OPPO Malaysia and Tourism Malaysia have launched “Rediscovering Malaysia Through the Lens”, a year-long photography initiative aimed at showcasing the country’s landscapes, destinations and cultural heritage to global audiences.

Part of the Visit Malaysia 2026 campaign, the collaboration will feature a series of photography journeys across the country, with selected images appearing as wallpapers and lock screens on OPPO’s global platform.

The campaign officially launched with a photowalk expedition to Kelantan, where photographers and creators documented local scenery including Jelawang Waterfall, described as Southeast Asia’s tallest waterfall.

Monica Chin said the initiative reflects OPPO’s commitment to visual storytelling and preserving cultural heritage through imaging technology.

The campaign will primarily utilise the upcoming OPPO Find X9 Ultra, equipped with a Hasselblad-tuned triple periscope camera system and advanced computational photography features designed for landscape and detail photography.

The initiative builds on OPPO Malaysia’s previous cultural storytelling projects, including the #OPPOMalaysiaThroughTheLens coffee table book and the global “Culture in a Shot” campaign developed with Discovery.

Through the partnership, OPPO Malaysia and Tourism Malaysia aim to position the country’s cultural and natural attractions for wider international visibility ahead of Visit Malaysia 2026.
