Now the Pilot’s Watch Chronograph 41 looks much more badass

IWC Schaffhausen has given us some of the most desirable and good looking timepieces. However, quite notably, one of the brand’s most iconic collection of watches, the Pilot’s Watch Chronograph 41, has always lacked a black option. That however has changed because the Swiss Watchmaker has now added a black dial to the collection.

The best part is, we don’t just get one version of the new black dial Pilot’s Watch Chronograph 41, but two. One is fitted with a black calfskin strap, and the other with a high-grade stainless steel bracelet. Both examples feature the IWC EasX-CHANGE system for quick and easy strap exchange and are water-resistant to 10 bar.

Moreover, both versions of the black dial Pilot’s Watch Chronograph 41 are powered by the IWC-manufactured 69385 calibre chronograph movement, visible through the sapphire glass case back.

In 2021, IWC Schaffhausen introduced the Pilot’s Watch Chronograph 41. It was an instant success with a 41mm diameter case and a lug-to-lug distance of 51.8mm. This meant that the chronograph offers excellent wearability even on slender wrists which made it a more versatile option and a preferred watch of many.

Moreover, it contained many key characteristics that made it stand out, but the Pilot’s Watch Chronograph 41 lacked a more stealth look which can only be achieved with the colour black. Now that IWC has added two completely amazing black dial options, the chronograph can appeal to an even wider audience.

This mechanical chronograph movement in a classic column-wheel design consists of 231 individual parts and is visible through the sapphire glass case back. The bi-directional pawl winding system builds up a power reserve of 46 hours in the mainspring. All essential to add to the allure of the all new Pilot’s Watch Chronograph 41.

The new versions of the Pilot’s Watch Chronograph 41 are available at IWC boutiques and selected retail partners. The timepieces are also eligible for registration under the My IWC care program to get a 6-year extension to the 2-year International Limited Warranty.
