World Legacy

World Cruises has launched World Legacy in Iskandar Puteri, Johor, introducing a floating leisure venue accessible by scheduled ferry transfers from Puteri Harbour Cruise Centre. Visitors can board for a day trip or stay overnight, without following a conventional port-to-port cruise itinerary.

The launch marks the first time guests can board World Legacy directly from Iskandar Puteri. The initial offering includes buffet dining, daily live entertainment and cabin accommodation, with additional leisure and recreational facilities expected to be introduced over the coming months.

Dining And Entertainment Onboard

The vessel’s upgraded international buffet features a rotating selection of Asian and international dishes. Meals are included in selected packages, depending on the booking.

Daily performances take place at the Grand Hall on Deck 3, with live music, dance and karaoke among the current offerings. Further entertainment experiences are planned for October and November.

World Legacy has approximately 300 cabins, ranging from rooms for two to larger configurations suited to families and groups. Selected VIP suites offer additional space, while some rooms provide ocean views. Guests can also access open-air areas and an onboard shop selling snacks and essentials.

According to Allwyn Furtado, hotel director of World Legacy, the Johor launch represents the first phase of the vessel’s development, with more onboard offerings to follow.

Introductory Fare

To mark the launch, World Cruises is offering a limited-time fare of RM48 per person for Malaysians, subject to availability and applicable terms and conditions.

The package includes return ferry transfers from Puteri Harbour Cruise Centre, one-day access to the vessel, meals and daily entertainment. Guests who take the last scheduled ferry to World Legacy and return on the first ferry the following morning can also stay overnight, with accommodation included in the promotional fare.

The offer is available while stocks last. Travellers should check ferry schedules and booking conditions before making arrangements.

Before returning to service, World Legacy underwent a refit and recommissioning programme, including technical inspections, testing and relevant regulatory processes. The RINA-class vessel’s crew also completed refresher training and safety drills covering emergency response, guest guidance and muster procedures.
