IWC Schaffhausen has partnered with Mercedes-AMG PETRONAS Formula One driver George Russell to create two limited-edition Pilot’s Watches that reflect the precision, performance and personal style of one of Formula One’s leading talents.
Comprising a chronograph and an automatic model, the new editions mark Russell’s first-ever design collaboration with the Swiss watch manufacture.

Both timepieces are crafted in black zirconium oxide ceramic, a material pioneered by IWC in the 1980s and prized for its lightness, durability and scratch resistance. The monochrome aesthetic is elevated by vivid blue accents on the dial and strap—Russell’s signature colour, which also features prominently on his racing helmet and has become synonymous with his identity on the grid.
The striking blue luminescence appears on the indices, numerals and hands, offering clarity and contrast while reinforcing the watches’ connection to the driver.
Racing Cred

Russell has been competing in Formula One since 2019 and joined the Mercedes-AMG PETRONAS Formula One Team in 2022. Since then, he has secured multiple podiums and five Grand Prix victories, including his most recent win at the 2025 Singapore Grand Prix.
Calm under pressure yet fiercely competitive, Russell sees the colour blue as emblematic of his approach to racing—a duality that lies at the heart of these special editions.
“It has been an unforgettable experience working with IWC Schaffhausen’s creative team on the design of my first limited-edition watches,” says Russell. “By incorporating my signature blue colour and my 63 logo, these watches feel truly personal and reflective of my journey so far.”
Racing DNA

The Pilot’s Watch Chronograph 41 George Russell features a 41.9-millimetre ceramic case with crown and pushers crafted from Ceratanium®, IWC’s proprietary material combining titanium’s lightness with ceramic-like hardness. It is powered by the IWC-manufactured 69380 calibre, offering a 46-hour power reserve. The Pilot’s Watch Automatic 41 is driven by the in-house 32112 calibre, equipped with a double-pawl winding system and an impressive 120-hour power reserve.
Both models are fitted with titanium case backs engraved with the number “63,” Russell’s racing number since his karting days, and are paired with blue rubber straps featuring IWC’s EasX-CHANGE® system for effortless strap swapping. Together, the watches capture the spirit of modern motorsport through technical excellence and unmistakable personal expression.
