The skull trend is revived once more with Bell & Ross

French watchmaker, Bell & Ross had revived the skull trend in watches back in 2009 when it launched the BR 01 Skull Collection of watches. Now get ready for the brand to do the same thing again but with a twist this time with the all-new BR 01 Cyber Skull Bronze.Cyber Skull Bronze

Ten years on, Bell & Ross is once again bringing skulls back to watchmaking with its new ultra-modern, multi faceted and avant-garde model the Cyber Skull Bronze. The latest timepiece once again takes on the look of the iconic cyber skull but finished in bronze giving the entire watch a more mature and desirable look and feel.

Naturally, the beautiful Cyber Skull Bronze will only be made in limited numbers, 500 units to be exact. The reason for this is that the unique bronze alloy used takes time to evolve to the desired state so obviously, a mass produced bronze covered masterpiece is somewhat out of the question.

Moreover, Bruno Belamich, Artistic Director of Bell & Ross, who is passionate about cutting-edge techniques, imagined the Cyber Skull Bronze as an ultra-modern and futuristic version of the model in 2020. Now, three painstaking years later, his vision is finally a reality.Cyber Skull Bronze

The Cyber Skull Bronze utilizes high-tech materials such as ceramic and sapphire crystal and combines it with avant-garde design. The design also serves as a nod to origami, this ancestral Japanese art of folding paper. Finally, its sculpted case is inspired by the angular fuselage of a stealth aircraft, which is invisible to radar.

On top of the square shaped case and bevelled corners of the Cyber Skull Bronze, Bell & Ross added a “rock and roll” element to the watch with the uniquely designed gold coloured skull. It also developed the specific BR-CAL.210 calibre, a unique manufacturer mechanism movement.

The Skull collection is the first in the Bell & Ross watch family to feature an automaton animation. These parts can trace their origins to 14th century Europe and on the Cyber Skull Bronze, the skull is inserted between two sapphire crystal plates to make it look as if it is floating in the centre of the case.B&R
