Contemporary elegance meets celestial inspiration with the introduction of the Bell & Ross BR-05 Blue Diamond Eagle 36MM, a refined addition to the BR-05 collection. Designed with a smaller 36mm case, the timepiece brings a more delicate, jewellery-inspired expression to the brand’s signature aesthetic, balancing strength with a poetic and dreamlike quality.
Blending the geometric precision of a square case with the softness of a round dial, the watch plays on contrasts. At its centre lies a deep blue aventurine dial, where seven diamonds are meticulously set to recreate the Eagle constellation. This celestial motif transforms the timepiece into both a functional instrument and a symbolic object, capturing the spirit of flight and freedom that defines Bell & Ross.
Starry-Eyed Surprise

The Eagle constellation, also known as Aquila, has long held mythological and astronomical significance. Recognisable by its distinctive alignment of stars, it is associated with Altair—the brightest star in the formation and a key point of the Summer Triangle. In Greek mythology, the eagle represents Zeus, serving as a bridge between the heavens and humankind. This symbolism aligns closely with Bell & Ross’s aviation-inspired identity, reflecting themes of exploration, precision, and mastery of the skies.
At the heart of the watch’s visual appeal is its aventurine glass dial. Often referred to as “Goldfluss blue,” the material is prized for its shimmering inclusions that resemble a star-filled night sky. Originating from 17th-century Venetian glassmaking traditions in Murano, aventurine is both beautiful and technically demanding. Its fragility requires expert handling, with each dial crafted by layering a precisely cut aventurine plate onto a brass base, ensuring durability while preserving its luminous depth.

The artistry continues with the intricate gem-setting process. Each diamond is positioned with micron-level precision to accurately reflect the constellation’s layout. The largest stone represents Altair, while additional diamonds trace the wings and tail of the eagle. In total, the dial features eighteen diamonds, including hour markers, each secured in custom brass settings and carefully inserted to maintain structural integrity without compromising the delicate aventurine surface.
According to Bruno Belamich, the timepiece represents more than a watch—it is “a true work of horological art.” Combining material innovation, micro-engineering, and artisanal craftsmanship, the BR-05 Blue Diamond Eagle 36MM stands as a testament to the brand’s ability to merge technical expertise with artistic expression.
With its celestial design, refined proportions, and symbolic depth, the BR-05 Blue Diamond Eagle 36MM offers a distinctive interpretation of modern watchmaking—one that captures both the precision of time and the timeless allure of the night sky.
