Scottish Hotel Management Company ICMI Expanding To Asia

ICMI is launching a new Hotel Telegraph in SingaporeMarriott

Leading hotel management chain, Inverlochy Castle Management International (ICMI), speeds up their international expansion in Asia, starting with Hotel Telegraph in Singapore. This deal puts ICMI incharge of all aspects of services, including sales and marketing, in this new 134-bedroom hotel in the centre of the land of the Merlion.

The heritage building and was once a telecommunications hub but has been run as a hotel since 2014. On 28 September 2022, it will be transformed into The Hotel Telegraph under a new owner and will be managed by ICMI with the aim of investing in the property and to target cultural and discerning business travellers.

ICMI manages some of Scotland’s most out of the box hotels including Inverlochy Castle, Crossbasket Castle, Cromlix, Isle of Eriska, Greywalls and Rocpool Reserve. It also operates in the Caribbean and supervised the launch of the Liming in Bequia in 2018.

Moreover, ICMI also provides consultancy around the world including Thailand, Wales and The Netherlands so they are already rather familiar with the landscape in Asia since they have consulted for our other neighbour Thailand.

Managing Director of ICMI, Norbert Lieder stated, “Singapore is widely considered one of the most attractive cities in the world, both for business and leisure, and demand for hotel rooms continues to increase. ICMI’s attention to every detail of a hotel experience will help to elevate the Hotel Telegraph in the local market. Expansion internationally also helps us attract top talent, who are able to develop their career across Scotland, the Caribbean and now Asia.”

A number of ICMI hotels in Scotland are also seeing major investments including the launch of the new Michael Roux Jr. Restaurant and restoration of the stable block at Inverlochy Castle to create eight new bedrooms. Crossbasket Castle is also being significantly expanded to make room for a new restaurant, spa and 40-room hotel.

Lieder also said, “The projects at both Inverlochy Castle and Crossbasket Castle represent a significant investment for the owners and are a result of continued demand for luxury rooms across Scotland.”ICMI
