Dusit International has announced plans to expand its ASAI Hotels brand in Thailand with two new properties in Hat Yai and Phuket, continuing the group’s focus on lifestyle-led accommodation in key leisure and urban destinations.

Scheduled to open in 2028 and 2029 respectively, ASAI Hat Yai and ASAI Patong Phuket will cater to travellers seeking locally inspired stays that combine contemporary design with easy access to neighbourhood experiences.

Located on Samchai Road in Hat Yai’s city centre, ASAI Hat Yai will feature 116 guestrooms designed for solo travellers, couples, families and groups. The hotel will also include an all-day dining restaurant, café and bar, co-working spaces, meeting facilities and a fitness centre, creating a social hub for both visitors and locals.

In Phuket, ASAI Patong Phuket will be situated around five minutes from Patong Beach. The approximately 85-room hotel will include a ground-floor café and communal space centred around the brand’s Eat/Work/Play concept, as well as a rooftop swimming pool and fitness facilities. The property aims to offer guests a base for exploring Patong’s dining, entertainment and beach culture beyond the traditional resort experience.

Launched with ASAI Bangkok Chinatown in 2020, the brand has since expanded to Bangkok Sathorn and Kyoto, Japan. Each property combines compact, thoughtfully designed rooms with shared spaces that encourage guests to dine, work and socialise while connecting with local businesses and communities.

The Thailand expansion comes as ASAI prepares to enter Malaysia with the opening of ASAI Gamuda Cove near Kuala Lumpur in the third quarter of 2026. Further international growth is also planned in the Philippines with hotels in Oslob, Cebu, and Camaya Coast scheduled to open in 2027 and 2028 respectively.
