Regent Phu Quoc Spanish

Regent Phu Quoc is set to host Vietnam’s first-ever Spanish gastronomic showcase, bringing together some of Spain’s most celebrated culinary talents for a week-long celebration of food, wine, and culture from 9 to 14 June 2026.

Presented in partnership with the Spanish Pantry Festival, An Ode to Spain: A Portrait of Spanish Life and Flavour will transform the luxury beachfront resort into a vibrant stage for Spanish gastronomy. The programme features acclaimed chefs, wine experts, artisan producers, and Regent Phu Quoc’s award-winning culinary team, offering guests an immersive journey through the flavours and traditions of Spain.

The highlight of the showcase takes place on 12 June at Oku, where a six-hands dinner will bring together Michelin two-star chefs Javier Olleros of Culler de Pau in Galicia and Benito Gómez of Bardal in Andalusia, alongside Oku Chef de Cuisine Andy Huynh. Between them, Olleros and Gómez hold four Michelin stars, with Olleros also recognised with a Michelin Green Star for sustainability.

Guests can also enjoy a series of distinctive dining experiences throughout the week. Tapas specialist Ager Urigüen will lead Amor y Sabor: The Art of Tapas at Ocean Club on 11 June, while celebrated paella master David Montero will showcase Spain’s iconic rice dishes during La Paella: A Spanish Fiesta at Rice Market on 13 June.

Deep Dive Into Spanish Flavours

Complementing the dining events are a series of masterclasses exploring Spanish culinary heritage, including jamón carving, paella-making techniques, and wine appreciation sessions led by sommelier and wine educator Alejandro Paadín.

According to Regent Phu Quoc General Manager Juan Losada, the event reflects Vietnam’s growing prominence on the global culinary stage while fostering meaningful cultural exchange between Spain and Vietnam.

By combining Michelin-level dining, authentic Spanish traditions, and Regent Phu Quoc’s luxury hospitality, the showcase aims to position Phu Quoc as an emerging destination for world-class gastronomic experiences in Asia.
