The MICHELIN Guide Hanoi | Ho Chi Minh City | Da Nang 2026 has recognised 11 One MICHELIN Star restaurants, the highest number since the guide launched in Vietnam in 2023.

The achievement reflects the rapid evolution of Vietnam’s dining landscape, driven by a new generation of chefs who are blending local ingredients, cultural heritage and international techniques.

“Vietnam has grown from an exciting discovery into a confident culinary destination,” said Gwendal Poullennec, International Director of the MICHELIN Guide.

Two New Restaurants Earn Their First MICHELIN Star

ONVIT

The Hanoi restaurant becomes the first Korean restaurant in Vietnam to receive a MICHELIN Star. Chef Joon Huk Chi presents a refined Korean-Vietnamese tasting menu that combines local ingredients with Korean culinary traditions.

Upstairs

One of Ho Chi Minh City’s most intimate dining destinations, Upstairs offers a modern Vietnamese tasting menu inspired by central Vietnamese cuisine and led by Chef Hiệp Trương.

Tales by Chapter Earns MICHELIN Green Star

The Ho Chi Minh City restaurant is the latest addition to Vietnam’s MICHELIN Green Star community, recognised for its commitment to sustainable gastronomy.

The restaurant operates with a zero-waste philosophy, featuring seasonal plant-based tasting menus built around produce from a partner eco-farm in Da Lat and ingredients grown in its rooftop garden. Food scraps are repurposed through fermentation techniques, while organic waste is composted and returned to the soil.

11 New Bib Gourmand Restaurants Added

The Bib Gourmand category, which recognises quality food at affordable prices, expanded to 72 establishments in 2026.
