Motul Malaysia has announced a new partnership with Sophia Zara Binti Mustaffa Kamal, one of the country’s most promising young motorsport talents, for her full 2026 racing season.
The collaboration sees the lubricant specialist supporting the 17-year-old driver as she embarks on her most ambitious racing calendar to date, competing across multiple national championships while continuing to build her profile as one of Malaysia’s rising motorsport stars.

A three-time Malaysia Book of Records holder, Sophia has already secured a place in the nation’s motorsport history books as the Youngest Female Racer, the Youngest Female Podium Finisher in an Endurance Race, and the Youngest Female Podium Finisher in a Sanctioned Touring Car Race. Her achievements also earned her recognition as a double finalist at the Malaysia Association of Motorsport Awards 2025.
“Sophia Zara represents what Motul stands for — talent, determination, and the drive to compete at the highest level,” said Ravi Shankar, General Manager of Motul Malaysia. “At 17, her results on track speak for themselves. Beyond racing, she is an inspiration to young girls across Malaysia. Motul is proud to support her journey and the future of Malaysian motorsports.”
For Sophia, the partnership represents another important milestone in her rapidly developing career.
“Being supported by Motul is a huge honour and something I am incredibly grateful for,” she said. “They are a brand with an incredible legacy in motorsports, and to have them behind me for my 2026 season gives me a tremendous amount of confidence going into what is my most ambitious calendar yet. I also hope that this partnership sends a message — that girls belong in motorsports, and that there are brands out there who believe in that too.”
Throughout the season, Sophia’s race cars will be powered by Motul’s flagship 300V lubricant, a fully synthetic four-stroke engine oil developed specifically for motorsport applications. First introduced in 1971, the product remains one of the brand’s most recognised performance lubricants and continues to benefit from Motul’s ESTER Core® technology, which is designed to maximise engine performance and reliability under demanding racing conditions.
For The Season Ahead

Sophia’s 2026 programme includes full-season campaigns in both the Malaysia Touring Car Championship (MTCC) and Toyota Gazoo Racing Malaysia series. She will also contest selected rounds of the Malaysia Speed Festival, before rounding off the year with the prestigious Sepang 1000KM Endurance Race in November.
The partnership reflects Motul Malaysia’s wider efforts to support grassroots and professional motorsport development while encouraging greater female participation within the sport.
As Sophia continues her ascent through the motorsport ranks, with aspirations that include a future opportunity in the F1 Academy, the collaboration underscores the growing recognition of young Malaysian talent on both regional and international stages.
With a packed racing calendar ahead and support from one of motorsport’s most established brands, 2026 could prove to be a defining year in Sophia Zara’s promising career.
