Motul and Ipone have renewed their partnership with YY Pang Racing Team for the 2026 Malaysian Cub Prix Championship, reviving a long-running collaboration that has been part of the local motorsports scene for nearly two decades.

The renewed partnership marks another chapter for the YY Pang Racing Team, which has established itself as one of the most successful outfits in Malaysian Cub Prix racing. Founded by Pang Yok You, the team has built a strong reputation over the years, collecting multiple championship titles and more than 400 podium finishes.

From 2004 to 2020, Motul supported the team through a sustained period of competitive success, while Ipone continued the relationship in 2021, helping the team secure the overall CP125 championship. For the 2026 season, Motul will supply the team’s 150cc category with its 300V 4T Factory Line lubricant, while Ipone’s Shogun range will power the 125cc machines.

The collaboration reflects a continued investment in Malaysian grassroots motorsports, with all three parties emphasising the importance of long-term rider development alongside competition performance. As the new Malaysian Cub Prix season begins, the renewed alliance signals a familiar but strategic return for two established lubricant brands in one of the country’s most competitive racing series.
