Will the Long Island Evolution Master Jumper win the GPHG Men’s Compilation?
The Grand Prix d’Horlogerie de Genève (GPHG) has announced its 2024 nominees, and the Franck Muller Long Island Evolution Master Jumper stands out as a finalist in the Men’s Complication category. Making its debut in April, this remarkable timepiece is part of a trio that reimagines the brand’s iconic Long Island case.
The launch event, hosted at Chateau d’Allaman near Geneva, featured Thai actor Nine Naphat showcasing this stunning watch. Franck Muller’s impressive history at the GPHG underscores its prestige in haute horlogerie. The brand has previously garnered awards for the Cintrée Curvex Grand Guichet and the innovative Crazy Hours.
A Showcase Of Craftsmanship
The Long Island Evolution Master Jumper boasts a groundbreaking triple jumping complication, presenting time and date through three distinct windows arranged vertically. Unlike traditional high-end watches, which often limit triple jumping displays to calendar functions, this model ingeniously combines timekeeping with date display.
The top window shows hours, the middle window displays minutes, and the date is located at 6 o’clock. This innovative design utilises five visible discs, delivering an instantaneous jump for the hours and minutes, a feat achieved through a unique double barrel system for optimal energy efficiency.
Striking Design
The watch features an inner sapphire crystal dial that adds depth and highlights technical details, all framed in an eye-catching pine green. This artistic presentation reflects the exceptional craftsmanship of the Calibre FM 3100, specially designed for this timepiece and hand-finished with meticulous techniques.
Extremely Exclusive
As a limited edition exclusive to the Asia Pacific region, only 100 pieces of the Long Island Evolution Master Jumper are available. Fans can catch a glimpse of this remarkable watch at the GPHG Exhibition at the Saigon Opera House in Ho Chi Minh City in early October.
