Marvel Studios’ Avengers: Endgame has reclaimed Malaysia’s all-time box-office record following its return to cinemas this month.

Released again as Avengers: Endgame Encore on 24 September 2026, the film had grossed RM90,116,517 in Malaysia as of 30 September, moving back to the top of the country’s all-time box-office rankings.

The result comes more than seven years after the film’s original theatrical release in 2019. Avengers: Endgame, which concluded Marvel Studios’ Infinity Saga, opened to US$1.2 billion worldwide in its first weekend. It was the first film to exceed US$1 billion during its opening weekend.

The re-release has also added to the film’s global total. Avengers: Endgame Encore opened at No. 1 worldwide with an estimated US$86 million during its opening weekend, making it the second-highest global opening for a re-release. Its cumulative worldwide box office now stands at US$2.885 billion, placing it second on the all-time global list.

The Malaysian re-release includes additional footage connected to Avengers: Doomsday, the next instalment in the Avengers series. The film is scheduled to open exclusively in Malaysian cinemas on 17 December 2026.

Avengers: Doomsday will also be available in Infinity Vision, a premium cinema format featuring larger screens, immersive sound and high-brightness laser projection. The format is currently available on 115 screens across Malaysia.

Advance ticket sales for Avengers: Doomsday begin on 1 October at noon through GSC, TGV Cinemas, Mega Cineplex, FST Cinemas and 10Star.

There is also a promotional tie-in for audiences who have attended Avengers: Endgame Encore. Those holding an Endgame Encore ticket who purchase an Avengers: Doomsday Infinity Vision ticket during the advance-sales period will receive a two-poster set comprising an Avengers: Endgame Encore poster and a D23 Avengers: Doomsday poster.

The franchise will also feature in the GSC Popcorn Run 2026 on 6 December at Mitsui Outlet Park KLIA Sepang. The event includes 5km, 10km and 21km categories, with race packages containing items such as a jersey, finisher medal, race towel and movie tickets.

For now, Avengers: Endgame Encore remains in Malaysian cinemas, with Avengers: Doomsday scheduled to follow on 17 December.
