Global hospitality brand YOTEL has officially entered the Japanese market with the grand opening of YOTEL Tokyo Ginza, marking a major milestone in the brand’s expansion across Asia-Pacific. The hotel celebrated its launch on 9 June with an immersive event that welcomed over 200 guests, including executives and invited guests.
Themed “YOTEL to the World: Non-Stop”, the celebration brought the brand’s futuristic ethos to life through multi-sensory experiences inspired by cities where YOTEL operates, such as New York, Singapore, Bangkok and Tokyo.

Guests collected stamps in YOTEL passports as they journeyed through creative, city-themed room activations. Highlights included “Midnight in Manhattan”, a glamorous sleepover-inspired photo booth; the “Ginza Game Room”, a neon arcade; and a Southeast Asia Oasis, where guests enjoyed SmartBed massages and refreshments. Urban Jungle, a skincare partner, offered beauty samples, while digital artist Mio Furukawa showcased her bespoke works created for the hotel.
In a nod to Japanese tradition, the evening opened with a dynamic taiko drum performance, followed by speeches from Shinya Ogawa, General Manager at YOTEL Tokyo Ginza, Panote Sirivadhanabhakdi, Group CEO of Frasers Property, and Hubert Viriot, CEO of YOTEL. The ceremonial Kagami Biraki sake barrel breaking symbolised the blending of local heritage with YOTEL’s modern identity.

Frasers Hospitality CEO Eu Chin Fen added, “This is our first ground-up development in Japan and a key step in expanding our presence in mature markets. Our partnership with YOTEL reflects a shared vision for redefining guest experiences.”
With its central location, cutting-edge design, and strong cultural resonance, YOTEL Tokyo Ginza is set to become a standout player in Japan’s competitive hospitality scene.
