Oppo puts creativity in the spotlight with its Imagine IF Photography Awards
In an inspiring showcase of mobile photography, Oppo has announced the winners of its second annual imagine IF Photography Awards. Launched in January and concluding in July, this global competition attracted over a million submissions from 81 countries, including heavyweights like China, India, Mexico, Colombia, and Egypt.
A Massive Win
The winning entries will be featured at Paris Photo, the largest international art fair, this November. This year, 15 talented photographers were recognised with Master, Silver, and Bronze Awards. The prestigious Master Award went to Liang Xibing for his evocative piece, “Summer by Hutuo River.”
This stunning photograph encapsulates the fleeting joy of childhood through masterful light and movement. Liang will receive a grand prize of USD24,000 and be appointed as an Oppo Photographer, granting him exclusive access to future Oppo events.
The Highlights
The Silver Award was claimed by He Huapei for “Wandou and Her Teddy Bear,” a touching image that showcases the bond between a child and her toy. The judges praised how tools like the Oppo Find N3 Flip can empower photographers to capture vivid, professional-quality images.
Shailendra Singh’s “The Peaceful Bond” earned the Bronze Award, captivating viewers with its imaginative storytelling and artistic depth. In addition to the main awards, 36 Honourable Mentions spanned nine diverse categories, from Landscape to Portrait to Fashion.
Special Awards
This year’s competition also introduced five Youth Special Awards to celebrate emerging talents in photography. Oppo’s theme, “Beyond the Image, Beyond Imagination,” highlights the accessibility and spontaneity of mobile photography.
It empowers everyone to transform everyday moments into lasting works of art, reaffirming Oppo’s commitment to innovation and creativity in the photography realm. Whether capturing a breathtaking landscape or a simple moment of joy, mobile photography continues to inspire and connect people around the globe.
