ONE TV Asia has announced the highly anticipated premiere of the express drama, Connection. The leading destination for Korean entertainment will premiere the Korean crime thriller on Saturday, May 25th, at 9:45pm, televised within 24 hours from South Korea. This captivating series promises to heat up Saturday nights with its thrilling plot, and sizzling chemistry between Ji Sung and Jeon Mi Do.

What’s Connection About

Jang Jae-Kyeong is a top detective in the narcotics team who keeps a distance from everyone, as he believes it to be a weakness if success is determined through personal connections. As the government declares war against drugs, Jang investigates the death of a friend, uncovering a web of corruption built on 20 years of twisted friendships. Meanwhile, a tenacious reporter, Oh Yoon-Jin, returns to her hometown to expose corruption and becomes entangled with the detective’s pursuit of justice.

Who’s In It

Ji Sung is an award-winning actor (Grand Prize for Defendant, 2017 SBS Drama Awards and, Best Actor for Defendant, 2017 The Seoul Awards), who plays the main lead in Connection and is best known for his roles in the television dramas All In (2003), Save the Last Dance for Me (2004), New Heart (2007), Protect the Boss (2011), Secret Love (2013), Kill Me, Heal Me (2015), Innocent Defendant (2017), Familiar Wife (2018), Doctor John (2019), The Devil Judge (2021) and the film My PS Partner (2012).

Actress and singer, Jeon Mi-do made her stage debut in 2006 and is primarily known for her stage and musical work. For her work in Sweeney Todd (2016), she won Best Actress at the 2017 Korean Musical Awards. She went on to win her second consecutive Best Actress Award in 2018 for Maybe Happy Ending. Onscreen, Jeon Mi Do is best known for her role as Dr. Chae Song-hwa in Hospital Playlist.
