BMW F 450 GS

BMW Motorrad Malaysia has officially introduced the new BMW F 450 GS Trophy, expanding its renowned GS adventure lineup with a lighter, more agile motorcycle designed for a broader range of riders.

First revealed as a concept at EICMA 2024, the production-ready model retains the distinctive GS styling while offering a more accessible platform for commuting, touring and off-road adventures.

New Twin-Cylinder Engine Produces 48hp

Powering the BMW F 450 GS is a newly developed liquid-cooled, parallel-twin engine producing 48hp and 43Nm of torque.

Performance figures include:

0–100km/h in 5.9 seconds
Top speed of 165km/h
Fuel consumption of 3.8L/100km

The engine is paired with a six-speed transmission and BMW Shift Assistant Pro, enabling clutchless upshifts and downshifts for smoother riding.

Easy Ride Clutch Debuts on the F 450 GS

One of the biggest highlights is BMW’s Easy Ride Clutch (ERC), available exclusively on the Trophy variant.

The centrifugal clutch system automatically manages clutch engagement during starts, gear changes and low-speed manoeuvres, helping riders navigate traffic and technical off-road sections more easily while retaining full engine braking and manual clutch control when needed.

Built for Road and Off-Road Adventures

The F 450 GS stays true to its adventure-bike roots with:

19-inch front and 17-inch rear wheels
180mm suspension travel front and rear
Adjustable sports suspension
Off-road footpegs
Rallye windscreen
Hand guards as standard
Aluminium engine guard on the Trophy model

The bike also features BMW’s signature GS styling, including the distinctive front beak design and X-shaped LED daytime running light.

Advanced Rider Technology

Standard equipment on the F 450 GS Trophy includes:

ABS Pro
Dynamic Traction Control (DTC)
Dynamic Brake Control (DBC)
Engine Drag Torque Control (MSR)
Riding Modes Pro

Riders can choose between four riding modes:

Rain
Road
Enduro
Enduro Pro

The Enduro Pro setting is designed specifically for more demanding off-road riding conditions.

6.5-Inch TFT Display and Connectivity

The motorcycle comes equipped with a 6.5-inch TFT display featuring smartphone connectivity and intuitive controls via BMW’s handlebar-mounted multi-controller.

A USB-C charging port is also included, while the Trophy variant adds a dedicated Sport Screen displaying lean angle, braking performance and traction control information.

Colour and Availability

The BMW F 450 GS Trophy is offered exclusively in GS Trophy Racing Blue Metallic, reinforcing its adventure-focused character.

BMW Motorrad Malaysia is expected to be priced at RM40,000 for the Malaysian market.
