Michelin Guide 2025

The 2025 Michelin Guide for Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, and Da Nang was officially unveiled at the InterContinental Danang Sun Peninsula Resort, further cementing Vietnam’s reputation as a rising force in global gastronomy.

This year’s selection features 181 establishments, including 9 One Michelin Star restaurants (with one new and one promoted), 63 Bib Gourmand listings (9 new), and 109 Michelin Selected venues (14 new). The guide highlights culinary excellence across Vietnam’s three major cities, with notable additions including 10 new entries in Hanoi, 7 in Ho Chi Minh City, and 7 in Da Nang.

A standout development this year is Lamai Garden in Hanoi, which becomes the city’s first restaurant to receive the Michelin Green Star. Under chef-owner Hieu Trung Tran, the restaurant embraces a sustainable farm-to-table philosophy, using seasonal produce and livestock from its own Phú Thọ farm.

In terms of One Michelin Star recipients, the guide welcomes CieL (Ho Chi Minh City) as a new entry, offering innovative cuisine in an intimate setting, and Coco Dining, promoted for its fusion of Vietnamese flavours and modern techniques. Returning One Star establishments include Gia, Hibana by Koki, and Tầm Vị in Hanoi; Long Trieu, Ănăn Saigon, and Akuna in Ho Chi Minh City; and La Maison 1888 in Da Nang.

The Bib Gourmand category now features 63 restaurants known for outstanding quality at reasonable prices. New entries in Hanoi include Hà Thành Mansion and Miến Lươn Chân Cầm, while Da Nang adds Bánh Xèo 76 and Shamballa, among others.

Meanwhile, 14 new eateries join the Michelin Selected list, recognised for their high culinary standards. Highlights include Phở Tiến and Vien Dining in Hanoi, Nephele and ST25 by KOTO in Ho Chi Minh City, and Bún Riêu Cua 39 in Da Nang.

The guide also presented three special awards:

Young Chef Award: Chef Viet Hong Le of CieL, praised for his refined technique and creativity.

Sommelier Award: Paul Vo of Nephele, recognised for elevating the wine experience.

Service Award: Nha Huynh of Mặn Mòi, honoured for his warm and welcoming hospitality.

The Michelin Guide 2025 continues to celebrate Vietnam’s evolving food culture, from fine dining innovation to treasured local traditions.
