This summer, luxury river cruise operator Mekong Kingdoms has unveiled an exclusive new travel experience aboard its 50-metre flagship vessel, Bohème. Available for private charter from June to September, the offer invites families and groups to take over the entire cruiser for a three-night journey along the Mekong River, between the historic town of Luang Prabang and Xayaboury.
Tailored for multigenerational holidays, milestone celebrations, and intimate reunions, the Bohème Private Charter promises an all-inclusive escape featuring complete privacy, curated excursions, and personalised service.

Accommodating up to 26 guests across 13 elegantly appointed suites, the vessel combines the grandeur of a floating residence with the comforts of modern luxury. The Royal Suite, spanning 60 square metres, offers a freestanding bath and private balcony — ideal for soaking in views of Laos’s jungle-clad landscapes and peaceful riverbanks.

The itinerary includes gourmet meals paired with international wines, private airport transfers, and exclusive add-ons such as discounted stays at the nearby Avani+ Luang Prabang hotel. Children are welcome aboard, with family-friendly activities, flexible dining, and open-plan social spaces designed for comfort and connection.
Cultural exploration lies at the heart of the voyage. Guests will visit the sacred Pak Ou Caves, known for their thousands of Buddha images nestled in limestone grottoes, and try traditional Laotian crafts such as Saa paper-making in Ban Xang Khong and pottery in Ban Chan Neua. The cruise also includes a visit to the Laos Buffalo Dairy Farm and a stop at the picturesque Kuang Si Waterfalls.

Onboard, life moves at a relaxed pace, with activities including birdwatching, yoga, spa treatments, cocktail-making classes, and starlit long-table dinners. A dedicated 20-person crew — including a cruise manager, chef, spa therapist and guide — ensures every detail is tailored to the group’s preferences.
Prices for the three-night charter begin at USD 33,600, based on a minimum booking of eight cabins. Longer five-night voyages to Vientiane are available from October to March, with rates starting at USD 68,000 for ten cabins. Bookings are now open.
