FENDI kicked off its centenary celebrations in Milan with the Fall/Winter 2025-26 Women’s and Men’s Fashion Show, led by Silvia Venturini Fendi, marking 100 years since her grandparents, Edoardo Fendi and Adele Casagrande, founded the Roman maison in 1925. Rather than dwelling solely on the archives, Venturini Fendi channelled personal and imagined memories in a collection that celebrates five generations of family creativity and reinvention.

Presented in the newly unveiled Spazio FENDI, a mirage of the brand’s original boutique on Rome’s Via Borgognona, the show evoked the glamour of the five Fendi sisters and the golden age of Cinecittà. It captured a unique blend of nostalgia and futurism, merging the maison’s tailoring heritage with irreverent elegance.

Sartorial Offerings

The collections intertwined men’s and women’s looks, where traditional sartorial codes met bold innovation. Voluminous coats were cinched with gold belts, shearlings mimicked noble furs through intricate intarsia, and hourglass silhouettes referenced infinity with balza skirts and rounded jackets. Marbled plissé, ribbed knits, and leather patchwork brought a tactile richness, while the colour palette moved from Roman greens and dusky greys to vibrant sunset tones of cinnamon, scarlet and dusty rose.

FENDI’s hallmark tailoring shone through in bracelet-sleeve blazers and deconstructed wool coats. Trench coats in plissé taffeta and oversized cabans embodied Roman power-dressing. Accessories, too, celebrated legacy with a retro-futurist twist: the Spy Bag returned in sorbet-toned shearling, while the new FENDI Giano clutch-to-shoulder bag featured Janus and the FENDI squirrel emblem.

Footwear and jewellery added a final flourish, from trompe l’oeil boots and peep-toe wedges in eel and satin to fur-textured silver jewellery by Delfina Delettrez Fendi. Upcycled FENDI fabrics transformed into whimsical Maxi Charms, nodding to the house’s commitment to craft and sustainability.

“FENDI reminds me of the future,” said Silvia Venturini Fendi. With this bold, emotionally rich centenary show, she honours the house’s past while confidently charting its course for the next century.
