Samsung is expanding its Galaxy A series with the new Galaxy A18, introducing a range of upgrades designed to make everyday smartphone experiences more capable and convenient. Combining improved performance, an enhanced camera system and AI-powered features, the latest addition also places greater emphasis on digital convenience and long-term device reliability.

One of its notable features is Samsung Wallet, which brings together everyday payment options and essential digital items in a single platform. Beyond bank card payments, users can access QR Pay through MAE Scan and Pay at participating merchants, as well as keep movie tickets, flight boarding passes and digital cards readily available.

Accessing the wallet is also straightforward, with users able to swipe up from the lock screen to make payments without navigating through multiple applications. The Galaxy A18 LTE also supports DuitNow QR scanning directly through its camera application with One UI 9.0, offering another way to complete transactions.

Eligible purchases can earn rewards points, which may be redeemed for vouchers or discounts on selected Samsung products. Security is supported by Samsung Knox, while six years of operating system and security updates offer a longer period of software support.

A more capable experience, from cameras to AI

The Galaxy A18 features a 6.7-inch FHD+ Super AMOLED display, paired with a Helio G99+ processor for everyday activities such as streaming, gaming and browsing. Upgraded LPDDR5 memory is designed to improve app loading and multitasking, while RAM Plus provides up to an additional 6GB of virtual memory using available device storage.

Photography is another area of focus. Its triple-camera setup comprises a 50MP main camera, 5MP ultra-wide camera and 2MP macro camera, allowing users to move between wider compositions, everyday photographs and detailed close-ups.

AI capabilities further extend the phone’s functionality. Enhanced Circle to Search lets users circle or tap content on their screens to find information without switching applications. The new Find the Look feature also allows users to search for complete outfits or identify music playing nearby.

The device introduces multiple AI agents, including Gemini and Perplexity, which can be activated through voice commands or a long press to perform tasks across supported Samsung, Google and selected third-party applications.

Durability rounds out the package, with IP64-rated protection against dust and water splashes, Corning Gorilla Glass 3 and a glass-fibre-reinforced polymer back cover. Samsung Knox Vault also provides hardware-based protection for sensitive information, adding another layer of security to everyday smartphone use.
