Experience Bohème and see Laos from a different perspective
Mekong Kingdoms, the luxury river cruise operator known for offering boutique experiences along Southeast Asia’s iconic waterways, introduces Bohème, the newest gem in its fleet. Setting sail from 9 December 2024, the 50-meter-long Bohème’s maiden journey cruises between Laos’ royal capital, Luang Prabang, and the national capital, Vientiane.
The Ultimate Floating Retreat
Over the course of a 6-day, 5-night voyage, you will enjoy an immersive luxury experience both onboard and onshore. Begin the journey with a stay at the historic Avani+ Luang Prabang Hotel, exploring the UNESCO World Heritage town before boarding Bohème.
Afternoon excursions bring cultural discoveries, while evenings are filled with riverside dining under the stars. Guests can also enjoy cooking and mixology classes led by a dedicated crew of 20, which includes a cruise manager, head chef, mixologists, tour guides, and spa therapists.
Fun Activities
Onshore adventures include exploring the Pak Ou caves, where travellers can discover thousands of Buddha images, and dining near the stunning Kuang Si Waterfall. There’s also the chance to try making saa paper at Ban Xang Khong village and learn pottery at Ban Chan village.
As the journey continues, guests will visit the Xayaboury Elephant Conservation Centre, spending time with elephants and their mahouts before heading downstream to Pak Lay, where a traditional Lao dance and farewell dinner await.
A Boutique Experience
Bohème offers an intimate experience, accommodating up to 26 guests in 13 suites. Each cabin is designed with comfort in mind, featuring air conditioning, premium amenities and décor rich in tactile textures like Laotian Ikat fabrics and blond wood parquet floors.
The ship’s Deluxe Suites offer a cozy living area and private balcony, while the Premier View Suites boast panoramic views from Juliet balconies and the 60-square-meter Royal Suite includes a private sundeck and a freestanding bath with a stunning river view. Pricing for the 5-night experience starts at USD 3,400 per person (based on two adults sharing a Deluxe Suite).
