Experience a new kind of dining experience in Casa Cicheti

This February, The Cicheti Group unveils its latest culinary gem, Casa Cicheti, located in the charming neighbourhood of Tiong Bahru. As the group’s fifth concept since the debut of its flagship, Cicheti, in 2013, Casa Cicheti marks a bold reimagining of the classic trattoria, capturing the spirit of Singapore’s oldest housing estate while honouring its community.

What It Means

Casa Cicheti, meaning “Little House” in Italian, offers a warm and intimate dining experience. Nestled in one of Tiong Bahru’s preserved pre-war flats, the trattoria celebrates both the past and present of the neighbourhood, where Art Deco buildings coexist with modern condos, and kopitiams stand side-by-side with specialty coffee shops.

The restaurant’s design blends rustic warmth with modern comforts, creating a nostalgic yet contemporary atmosphere that evokes a sense of belonging.  Known for its “hearty, never fussy” approach to Italian cuisine, Casa Cicheti offers comforting, flavourful dishes made with time-honoured techniques.

Signature DIshes

Chef Lim Yew Aun, who co-founded Cicheti, has crafted a menu that includes signature dishes like the Casa Pane ($13 or about RM58), focaccia infused with rosemary and sea salt and inventive snacks like Gnocco Fritto ($18, roughly RM80), fried dough with truffle honey glaze. The pizza menu features a hybrid of Neapolitan and Roman styles, with unique creations like Cinque Formaggi ($29 or around RM128), a five-cheese pizza topped with honey.

On top of that, fresh pasta dishes, such as Spaghetti with squid ink and Rigatoni alla Vodka ($29 or roughly RM128), promise to satisfy any craving. Dishes like Veal Milanese ($88 or about RM390) and Branzino ($36, around RM159) showcase indulgent main courses.

Classic With A Modern Twist

Beyond the food, Casa Cicheti also offers an extensive wine list curated to complement the neighbourhood’s evolving tastes. Signature cocktails, like the Casa Bloody Mary ($21 or roughly RM93) and Sgroppino ($22 or about RM97), provide a playful twist on Italian classics.

Visit Casa Cicheti, and experience more than just a meal, it’s a celebration of community, culture, and comfort, all wrapped up in a little house in Tiong Bahru. Open for lunch and dinner Tuesday to Sunday, with weekend brunch coming soon.
