See all the good the Fendi Biodiversity Project 2024 is doing for the world
Fendi has embarked on an inspiring urban biodiversity project in collaboration with AzzeroCO2 and La Nuova Arca, underscoring its commitment to environmental sustainability and community support. AzzeroCO2, a sustainability consultancy founded in 2004 by Legambiente and the Kyoto Club, specialises in helping companies develop projects that reduce their environmental impact.
Real Change
Together with AzzeroCO2, Fendi has identified an endangered pine forest surrounding the foster home operated by La Nuova Arca, an organisation dedicated to assisting women and children in need and supporting migrants and refugees in their journey towards integration.
Fendi has partnered La Nuova Arca and AzzeroCO2 on this impactful two-year project, marking a significant step in environmental conservation and community engagement. This urban biodiversity initiative is designed to breathe new life into the endangered pine forest, thereby preserving a vital green space within the urban landscape.
A Bond With Nature
A key aspect of this initiative is the involvement of Fendi employees in volunteer activities. On International Earth Day (22 April), employees will participate in reforestation efforts, planting trees and engaging in activities aimed at nurturing the local ecosystem. This hands-on approach aids in the restoration of the forest and fosters a deeper connection between Fendi and nature.
Additionally, this reforestation effort aligns with LVMH’s broader pledge to support the preservation or restoration of 5 million hectares (50,000 sq. km) of habitat by 2030. Fendi’s participation in this ambitious goal highlights the brand’s dedication to environmental and social projects in Italy.
By contributing to the reforestation of the pine forest, Fendi is playing a crucial role in maintaining biodiversity and ensuring a healthier planet for future generations. The project emphasises the importance of urban green spaces for community well-being.
The revitalised forest will also serve as a sanctuary for local wildlife and a place of respite for the community, particularly the residents of La Nuova Arca’s foster home. Fendi’s collaboration with AzzeroCO2 and La Nuova Arca is a powerful testament to the brand’s commitment to sustainability and social responsibility.
