ASAI Hotels has made its Malaysian debut with the opening of ASAI Gamuda Cove, a 280-room lifestyle hotel positioned within the 1,530-acre Gamuda Cove township in Selangor.

The 13-storey property, which welcomes its first guests on 15 September 2026, is located around 20 minutes by car from Kuala Lumpur International Airport, giving it a convenient base for travellers heading to the wider Sepang area.

It is also the largest property in the ASAI portfolio to date and the brand’s first hotel outside a city neighbourhood. The opening follows the brand’s existing properties in Bangkok and Kyoto and marks Dusit International’s second hotel in Malaysia, after Dusit Princess Melaka.

A defining feature of the new hotel is its proximity to Paya Indah Discovery Wetlands, a 1,111-acre nature reserve and wildlife sanctuary. The neighbouring 90-acre Wetlands Arboretum adds walking routes, birdwatching and environmental activities to the area’s attractions.

Guests can also reach SplashMania Waterpark and Discovery Park within Gamuda Cove, while an electric tram network connects various destinations across the township.

Accommodation ranges from compact rooms for solo travellers and couples to balcony rooms and bunk-bed configurations, with a two-room family category accommodating up to six guests. Selected rooms overlook the wetlands, while standard amenities include Wi-Fi, smart televisions, walk-in showers and storage.

Facilities include an infinity pool facing the wetlands, a gym, co-working areas and flexible meeting and event spaces for up to 100 people.

Dining is centred around Nasi & Khao, an all-day restaurant combining Malaysian and Thai flavours with Western dishes, alongside Tea Shop, which serves teas and light bites, and a Pool Bar overlooking the surrounding landscape.

The hotel’s location also places it around 20 minutes from Sepang International Circuit, ahead of Formula 1’s return to Malaysia from 2–4 October 2026.

ASAI Gamuda Cove is the fourth operating ASAI hotel and forms part of Dusit’s continued expansion in Malaysia, with Dusit Princess Ipoh scheduled to open in October 2026.
