Casio Malaysia Sdn. Bhd. has unveiled its first-ever collaboration with Selangor Football Club (SFC), with the limited-edition “Lambang Kebanggaan” DW-5600SFC24-4 G-SHOCK watch. This partnership, which began in 2023 when Casio became the official timekeeper for the club, aims to celebrate the strong bond between the iconic sports brand and the Red Giants.

What’s In A Name

The name “Lambang Kebanggaan,” meaning “Symbol of Pride,” is inspired by SFC’s motto, “Merah Kuning Lambang Kebanggaan,” which represents the club’s crest. The emblem unites players, coaches, staff and fans, creating a sense of community and pride.

The watch itself captures the essence of this unity with vibrant red and yellow accents, inspired by the Selangor state flag. Red symbolizes strength and passion, while yellow reflects royalty and wisdom, both integral to SFC’s identity and history. The DW-5600SFC24-4 keeps the classic G-SHOCK square case design, now reimagined in a bold red hue.

The Selangor FC logo is prominently displayed on the bezel and strap, while the club’s emblem is illuminated when the LED backlight is activated. This stylish timepiece blends toughness with pride, offering a sporty way for fans to show their support for SFC. Limited to just 1,000 pieces in Malaysia, the collaboration model is more than just a watch, it’s a symbol of solidarity and pride for SFC supporters.

The watch comes with special packaging, including a watch box and a drawstring bag, both adorned with the G-SHOCK logo. At the launch event held on 1 December 2024, at Stadium MBPJ, both Casio and SFC expressed their commitment to supporting each other.
