The Volvo Padel Open 2025 concluded in style on Sunday, capping off six weekends of thrilling action and setting a new benchmark for padel tournaments in Malaysia.
Now in its second year, the event drew a record-breaking 400 participants across three divisions – Beginner, Intermediate, and Advanced – with 160 players making their competitive debut. The tournament was held in partnership with three top padel venues in the Klang Valley: Joy Division Padel, Padelground, and PadelKu.
Sponsored by Coca-Cola Malaysia, Tactical Padel, Directors’ ThinkTank, and REGEN Physio & Sports Rehab, the tournament offered a prize pool exceeding RM180,000. Winners walked away with not only cash prizes, but also complimentary court hours, Tactical merchandise, and a seven-day driving experience in a fully electric Volvo.

To ensure balanced and competitive play, Beginner and Intermediate players underwent mandatory assessments by certified coaches. In addition, free coaching clinics were offered to help new players develop confidence and skill before the qualifying rounds on 19 and 26 July.
The Grand Finals on 27 July were the highlight of the tournament, drawing families, fans, and supporters to courtside for a day filled with intense rallies, dramatic finishes, and passionate cheers. The electric atmosphere lasted until the final match, with emotional celebrations as the champions lifted their trophies.
Organisers hailed the tournament not only as a competition but as a celebration of padel’s growing presence in Malaysia. By blending sport, lifestyle, and community, the Volvo Padel Open 2025 has helped to elevate the local padel scene and foster a more inclusive sporting culture.
