Under Armour has officially launched its most advanced backpack to date, the UA No Weigh Backpack, aiming to redefine how athletes carry their gear. Backed by three years of research, development, and athlete testing, this innovative product marks a major shift in how performance backpacks are designed—treating them as essential tools for athletic success, not just accessories.

The standout feature of the No Weigh Backpack is its patent-pending UA Suspension™ strap system, a technology that adapts in real-time to the wearer’s movement. These multi-directional straps stretch and contract as the body moves, redistributing weight and significantly reducing strain on the shoulders and upper back. Independent testing by a third-party ergonomics lab confirmed that the system eases load tension and helps minimise fatigue.

Rethinking The Backpack

“The athlete backpack is used more than almost anything else, but no one’s truly rethought it until now,” said Kyle Blakely, SVP of Innovation, Development & Testing at Under Armour. “We treated it like a performance product, because that’s what it really is.”

The No Weigh Backpack is now available for RM499, initially released exclusively to UA Rewards Members via the official Under Armour Malaysia website and at selected Under Armour Brand Houses and online.

Under Armour has confirmed that the UA Suspension™ strap technology will serve as the foundation for an entire ecosystem of carry solutions in the near future, including duffels, travel bags, and hybrid gear for busy athletes juggling sport, school, and work.
