Maison Christian Louboutin has announced the appointment of Jaden Smith as its first Men’s Creative Director, marking a major new chapter in the luxury house’s evolution. Smith will take creative responsibility for four men’s collections annually, spanning footwear, leather goods, and accessories, while shaping a broader cultural narrative through campaigns, events, and immersive experiences.

The collaboration builds on a relationship that began in Paris in 2019, when Smith and Christian Louboutin first met. Their creative dialogue, founded on mutual admiration and a shared commitment to individuality and innovation, has now materialised into an official creative partnership.

“When I first met Jaden, I saw in him a natural fit for the Maison,” said Christian Louboutin. “His world is rich and multidimensional… I felt that with his creative direction, our men’s collection would evolve in an exciting and dynamic way.”

A Unique Vision

A multifaceted artist known for his work in fashion, music, and activism, Jaden Smith brings over a decade of design experience, including footwear collaborations and his own label, MSFTSrep. His appointment reflects Louboutin’s ambition to deepen its men’s offering with a creative lead who embodies the values of curiosity, expression, and global consciousness.

“It isn’t just a title — it’s a creative home,” Smith said. “Christian has given me a place to explore, to learn, and to create freely. His legacy is built on hard work and joy, and I want to carry that forward.”

Since launching its men’s line over 15 years ago, Christian Louboutin’s male clientele has grown steadily, now accounting for 24% of global business, according to CEO Alexis Mourot. “This is the perfect time to strengthen our creative team by welcoming Jaden alongside Christian,” Mourot added. “We share the same values and the Maison’s DNA.”

Smith’s first capsule collection will debut in January 2026 in select boutiques and online, ahead of his full debut during Paris Men’s Fashion Week (Autumn/Winter 2026).
