Taiwanese bubble tea brand TRUEDAN has opened its first Malaysian outlet at IOI City Mall, welcoming customers ahead of its official grand opening on 5 September 2026.

Founded in Taiwan’s Shilin Night Market, TRUEDAN has expanded to nearly 80 outlets internationally, including in London. The brand is best known for its freshly shaved Meteoric Brown Sugar and handmade Taiwanese jelly, both of which make their Malaysian debut at the new outlet.

Unlike conventional brown sugar drinks, TRUEDAN uses whole brown sugar blocks that are shaved fresh for each order, creating a richer aroma before being combined with the brand’s handmade Taiwanese jelly, prepared daily. The result is a distinctive combination of flavour and texture that has become synonymous with the brand.

The Malaysian menu features several of TRUEDAN’s signature beverage ranges, including the Meteoric Brown Sugar & Taiwanese Jelly Series, Craftsman’s Meteoric Brown Sugar Series, Meteoric Brown Sugar Milk Tea Series and Fresh Fruit Tea Series, offering a mix of classic bubble tea favourites alongside fruit-based options.

Located at Level 1, East Wing of IOI City Mall 2, the outlet also reflects TRUEDAN’s youthful identity through a Taiwanese street-inspired interior. Elements such as traditional Taiwanese street mirrors and a skate-inspired design create a casual setting that pays homage to the brand’s roots while offering visitors a space to relax.

To coincide with the soft opening, TRUEDAN has introduced its complimentary TRUEfriend Membership Programme. Customers visiting during the soft opening period will also receive a limited-edition sticker with any purchase, while stocks last.

The outlet is now open at Level 1 (K206), East Wing, IOI City Mall 2, giving Malaysian consumers their first opportunity to experience one of Taiwan’s popular bubble tea brands before its official launch next month.
