HBO Max will premiere the Taiwanese original drama Fired Up! on 31 July, with new episodes released weekly on Fridays.
The 12-episode coming-of-age series stars Mandopop artist Eric Chou in his first leading role in a television drama. Adapted from Gwangjin’s popular Kakao Webtoon Itaewon Class, the series follows Chou Lu-yung as he investigates the truth behind his father’s death while fighting to save his family’s restaurant, Jin Lai Hao, with the support of his friends.
Joining Chou is an ensemble cast that includes Angela Yuen, Shao Yu-wei, Wang Shih-hsien, Akira Huang, Cosmos Lin, Sean Lin and Ben Wu.

Music also plays a prominent role in the series. Chou wrote and performs the closing theme, Shells, while the soundtrack also features original songs After Everything by Pets Tseng and Dream Light by Yo Lee.
Produced by Taiwan-based DaMou Entertainment, Fired Up! was developed by Chien Li-ying, with Jayde Lin, Leo Chiang and Lin Shiang-ling serving as producers. The series is directed by Kao Pin-chuan and Tseng Ying-ting.
Fired Up! premieres exclusively on HBO Max on 31 July, with episodes released weekly throughout its run.
