SAKA Museum, the cultural and knowledge centre at AYANA Bali, hosted a prestigious celebration marking the completion of four major exhibitions and its growing international acclaim. The event, titled Lila Cita Sukaning Manah—Balinese for “Sincere Intent, Joyful Heart”—welcomed distinguished guests from Indonesia’s arts, academic, diplomatic, and business communities.
The museum has recently been recognised on the global stage with several notable honours. These include being listed among TIME Magazine’s World’s Greatest Places 2024, the Kyoto Global Design Award 2024 (Top 100 for Environmental Design), and the prestigious Prix Versailles accolade as one of the World’s Most Beautiful Museums 2025. These awards reflect SAKA’s leadership in combining cultural preservation with sustainable innovation and architectural excellence.

The evening also celebrated the successful launch of four immersive exhibitions, each offering unique insights into Bali’s cultural richness. Kasanga, curated by Gurat Institute, explores the spirit of Nyepi, Bali’s Day of Silence, through a multisensory journey spanning sculpture, photography, film, and installations.
Subak: The Ancient Order of Bali highlights the island’s ancient, UNESCO-listed irrigation system, combining multimedia, film, and an hourly light-and-sound show to showcase the spiritual and ecological wisdom behind Balinese water management.
Panca Maha Bhuta unveils sacred artefacts through the lens of the Balinese philosophy of the five elements—earth, water, fire, air, and ether—connecting visitors to the unseen forces shaping local rituals.

Twilight Journey, a dome installation by artists Wahyudi Chandra and Raden Cahyoko (Kokok), uses interactive technology to evoke the starlit skies of Nyepi, inviting deep reflection and sensory wonder.
The event served as a heartfelt tribute to the curators, collaborators, and supporters who brought these exhibitions to life. With its global recognition and ambitious curatorial vision, SAKA Museum continues to be a leading platform for cultural storytelling, heritage preservation, and sustainable design in Indonesia and beyond.
