The cognac maker now has a fragrance for you too
Cognac maker Remy Cointreau has just announced the creation of Maison Psyche, the brand’s house that will use the Maison’s techniques of special blending and ageing of spirit to make unforgettable and unique fragrances. We’re sure most Cognac enjoyers can appreciate this as much as we do.
Moreover, there is a connection between Baptiste Loiseau, Cellar Master of the Maison Remy Martin, and Sophie Labbe, Principal Perfumer at Firmenich. Both are responsible for the creative outlet of Maison Psyche by Remy Cointreau and they have the desire to elevate the experience of using perfume for everyone.
“Maison Psyche was born from our shared love for the terroirs and age-old expertise, both in Cognac and further afield where perfumery’s finest raw materials blossom,” reads their joint statement. “These carefully selected raw materials form the foundations of five exceptional olfactory creations making up the first Maison Psyche collection.”
“We left them to age in the Maison Remy Martin cellars in Cognac to allow them to expand their range of expression in our tonnelets (small oak casks). Time has done its work and the result is striking, just like for our eaux de vie.” They added.
On top of the fragrances from Maison Psyche by Remy Cointreau being the result of the exceptional collaboration between Sophie and Baptiste, their distinctiveness is further enhanced by the time spent in oak casks specially designed by Seguin Moreau, whose prowess has been revered for almost two centuries now.
