Inspired by Andy Warhol’s 1986 polaroid collage, Piaget unveils a bold new limited-edition watch — only 50 pieces worldwide — celebrating the artist’s legacy and personal connection to the brand.

Following the announcement of their partnership in November 2024, Piaget and the Andy Warhol Foundation have officially unveiled a new collector’s edition timepiece: the Andy Warhol Watch ‘Collage’ Limited Edition.

Revealed globally this October, the launch marks a continuation of the Maison’s creative dialogue with one of the 20th century’s most enduring cultural figures.

Limited to just 50 pieces, the new model draws direct inspiration from Warhol’s 1986 polaroid collage self-portrait, a vibrant and abstract composition that has become emblematic of the artist’s later work. The watch dial is crafted using marquetry techniques, inlaid with colourful ornamental gemstones that recreate the collage’s energy and palette in miniature.

Time & Artistry

The timepiece is housed in a 45mm stepped case crafted from 18-carat yellow gold, a material specifically chosen to echo Warhol’s own Piaget watch from 1973. That original piece — then known as the Ref. 15102 — has since become an icon of the brand’s design language and a symbol of its long-standing ties to the world of art and culture.

Piaget’s connection to the arts spans more than 150 years, with the brand frequently collaborating with artists, designers and cultural institutions. Warhol himself was known to be an avid collector of Piaget watches, reportedly owning at least seven in his lifetime. His admiration for the brand stemmed from its daring design and its seamless fusion of watchmaking and artistic craftsmanship.

With its fusion of pop culture legacy and haute horology, the Andy Warhol Watch ‘Collage’ Limited Edition stands as both a tribute and a timepiece — one that captures the spirit of an artist who once declared, “I don’t wear a Piaget to tell the time. I wear it because it’s the watch to wear.”
