The Indonesian Island of Bintan has welcomed a new resort. Mövenpick Hotels & Resorts has finally opened the doors to its latest resort and spa in Bintan Lagoon. Located on the island’s northern coast and easily accessible by ferry from Singapore, the resort brings Mövenpick’s generous hospitality and convivial culinary spirit to a relaxed island setting.

Catering to a wide spectrum of travellers, the resort combines accommodation, dining, recreation, wellness, golf and extensive meetings and events facilities. Mövenpick Resort & Spa Bintan Lagoon boasts 408 rooms and suites, each with a private balcony or terrace overlooking the gardens or sea.
Bites & More

Culinary experiences sit at the heart of the Mövenpick experience. Guests can look forward to Port 19, an all-day dining restaurant whilst Yokatta Izakaya & Bar offers Japanese favourites. There’s also a two-storey Soñada Beach Club offering Pan-Asian and Italian dishes, cocktails. Guests can also experience Mövenpick’s signature Chocolate Hour, a daily ritual that invites guests to pause and reconnect over the simple joy of chocolate.

Recreation is a key part of the resort experience, with spaces and activities designed to encourage guests to spend meaningful time together. The Recreation Village brings together fitness, sports, family activities and casual dining, with yoga and Pilates sessions, a fitness centre and spaces for guests to relax or take part in organised activities.
For younger guests, Little Birds Club provides dedicated indoor and outdoor play areas, arts and crafts and interactive activities. The resort also offers swimming pools, kayaking, paddleboarding and other non-motorised water sports.
Golfing & Recreation

Guests have access to Bintan Lagoon International Golf, with two 18-hole golf courses designed by Jack Nicklaus and Ian Baker-Finch. Shantara Spa & Wellness provides a dedicated space for relaxation and wellbeing, with private treatment rooms, couples’ rooms, reflexology and facial treatments, together with a sauna and steam room. Its treatment menu combines massage, movement and wellness rituals inspired by the island and regional traditions.
Mövenpick Resort & Spa Bintan Lagoon also offers more than 2,000 square metres of meetings and events space. At its centre is a 900-square-metre Grand Ballroom, complemented by flexible function spaces for meetings, conferences, incentives, weddings and social events.
