Hyundai Motor Malaysia (HMY) has extended its partnership with Selangor FC, continuing its role as the club’s Official Mobility Partner for the 2026/2027 season.

The renewed agreement reflects a shared commitment to performance, community development and the growth of Malaysian football, while strengthening ties between Hyundai and one of the country’s most established football clubs.

As part of the partnership, Hyundai Motor Malaysia will provide a Hyundai Tucson Prestige to support the transportation needs of Selangor FC’s staff and officials throughout the season.

“The inaugural year of our partnership proved that performance and progress go hand-in-hand,” said Jahabarnisa Haja Mohideen, Managing Director of Hyundai Motor Malaysia.

“Seeing Selangor FC’s achievement at the 2025/2026 ASEAN Club Championship Shopee Cup finals has strengthened our resolve to support their ambitions. As we enter this next phase, we are focused on delivering mobility solutions that support the team, management and fans.”

A Boost For Sports

Selangor FC Chief Executive Officer Dr Johan Kamal Hamidon said the partnership represents more than a sponsorship arrangement.

“We believe this partnership will bring positive impact to both Selangor FC and Malaysian football as a whole. It is not just about chasing trophies, but also about cultivating a culture of discipline, growth and continuous improvement,” he said.

The collaboration follows a successful year of joint initiatives, including fan engagement activities, grassroots football programmes and community outreach projects. Among them was the HMY Sentiasa di Sisi Anda x SFC Cahaya Ramadan 2026 programme, which supported 150 underprivileged students in Klang with festive essentials, educational supplies and financial assistance.

Hyundai also participated in the Selangor FC Soccer School Carnival, underscoring its commitment to nurturing young football talent in Malaysia.

The extension aligns with Hyundai’s global involvement in football while creating opportunities for deeper engagement with local communities. Both organisations plan to introduce new experiences that connect fans with the sport while promoting mobility, accessibility and shared progress.

Selangor FC enjoyed a strong 2025/2026 campaign, finishing third in the Malaysia Super League and reaching the final of the ASEAN Club Championship Shopee Cup, further cementing its position as one of the region’s leading clubs.
