Here Are The 36 Regions Competing In the 2023 Overwatch World Cup

With Overwatch 2 bringing in new talent, will we see a new champion?

Overwatch made waves when it came out as an original game from one of the most beloved game developers at the time, Blizzard Entertainment. Naturally, when Blizzard announced the Overwatch League (OWL) as a pro circuit for the game, the whole world was ecstatic.Overwatch

Now, Overwatch 2 will kick off the fifth Overwatch World Cup competition in 2023 will crown the first World Cup champion since 2019. Thus far, teams from India, Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, Singapore, and Thailand are due to represent the Asia-Pacific region in the Overwatch World Cup.

The Overwatch World Cup will consist of three conferences, each with two separate groups of six countries and regions. Competition committee applications begin in February with each participating country and region hosting trials over three weekends in February (10 to 12 February, 17 to 19 February, and 24 to 26 February).Overwatch

Moreover, In June, teams will compete within their groups to earn 1 of 16 spots at the LAN finals, scheduled for fall 2023. It is worth noting that there will be no World Cup Trials in China, and Chinese teams will not compete in the Online Qualifiers as the tryouts process in China is different from other countries and regions.
