Garmin Sleep Monitor

Garmin Malaysia has unveiled its latest innovation in sleep and wellness technology: the Index Sleep Monitor, a lightweight and comfortable smart band designed to provide users with deeper insights into their sleep quality, recovery, and overall well-being.

Worn on the upper arm, the Index Sleep Monitor is engineered for all-night comfort and delivers up to 7 nights of battery life with continuous Pulse Ox tracking. The smart sleep band captures a wide range of biometrics, including sleep stages, heart rate variability (HRV) status, respiration, breathing patterns, skin temperature, and more. These metrics are analysed to generate a personalised sleep score each morning, helping users understand how well they’ve rested and recovered.

Connected Ecosystem

All sleep data is automatically synced to the Garmin Connect smartphone app, where it integrates with other wellness metrics. When paired with a compatible Garmin smartwatch, users can get a fuller picture of their 24-hour health—especially helpful for those who prefer not to wear a watch to bed.

In addition to standard sleep tracking, the Garmin Index Sleep Monitor comes packed with advanced features designed to provide a deeper understanding of the user’s recovery and overall well-being. It includes HRV status monitoring to evaluate stress and recovery levels, as well as Pulse Ox and breathing variation tracking to monitor blood oxygen saturation and respiratory patterns during sleep.

The device also offers skin temperature monitoring, which can provide insights into changes in the sleep environment or potential signs of illness. For women, it includes menstrual cycle tracking and improved ovulation estimation, offering a more comprehensive view of reproductive health. The Body Battery energy monitoring feature gives users a 24-hour snapshot of their energy levels, helping them better understand when to rest or be active.

Additionally, the smart wake alarm uses sleep stage analysis to gently wake users during lighter phases of sleep, promoting a more refreshed start to the day. Available in two sizes (S-M and L-XL), the band is designed with comfort and convenience in mind—it’s also machine washable once the module is removed. With the launch of the Index Sleep Monitor, Garmin further cements its position as a leader in smart, data-driven wellness technology.
