Share
Garmin Malaysia has introduced its latest GPS running and triathlon smartwatches – the Forerunner 570 and Forerunner 970 – alongside the new HRM 200 and HRM 600 heart rate monitors. These devices offer smarter training tools, detailed recovery insights and seamless performance tracking, designed for athletes aiming to achieve their personal best.
The Forerunner 570 and 970 feature Garmin’s brightest AMOLED displays yet and come equipped with a built-in speaker and microphone for phone calls and voice commands. The 970 also includes a rugged sapphire lens, titanium bezel and an integrated LED flashlight for enhanced visibility.
Both watches support Garmin Triathlon Coach, offer daily personalised workouts, and provide comprehensive health metrics, including training readiness scores, VO2 max, wrist-based running power, and skin temperature tracking for added wellness insights.
For Athletes
Exclusive to the Forerunner 970 are advanced performance features such as running tolerance, running economy, step speed loss, and an ECG app to monitor heart rhythm irregularities. The 970 also supports full-colour built-in mapping and round-trip routing, ideal for athletes training across unfamiliar routes.
Both smartwatches offer exceptional battery life – up to 11 days for the Forerunner 570 and 15 days for the 970 in smartwatch mode – and come packed with smart features like Spotify and Garmin Pay, incident detection, and LiveTrack for added safety and convenience.
The HRM 200 and HRM 600 provide accurate heart rate and HRV (heart rate variability) data across a range of activities. The HRM 600 further enhances training with advanced running dynamics, including stride length, vertical oscillation, and the new step speed loss metric. It also offers standalone activity recording, making it suitable for sports where wearing a watch isn’t feasible.
Both HRM models ensure a comfortable fit, come in two strap sizes, and are designed with convenience in mind – from washable straps to easy wake-and-pair functionality. The HRM 200 runs on a replaceable battery lasting up to a year, while the HRM 600 features a rechargeable battery with up to two months of use per charge.

The Forerunner 570 is available in two sizes (42mm and 47mm) with vibrant new colour options and is priced at RM2,399, launching 18 June.
