G-SHOCK Welcomes The Year Of The Horse With A Qianlima-Inspired Special Edition

G-SHOCK marks the arrival of the 2026 Lunar New Year with a special Year of the Horse edition, drawing inspiration from the legendary Qianlima—the mythical steed said to travel a thousand li in a single day.
A symbol of strength, speed and boundless potential, the Qianlima serves as a fitting muse for a timepiece designed to welcome the year ahead with confidence and momentum. The design centres on a boldly illustrated horse motif across the dial, capturing the dynamic spirit of the mythical creature.

A gold ion-plated bezel, engraved with flowing lines that echo the movement of a horse’s mane, frames the watch, while gold indices symbolise prosperity and celebration. Subtle red accents punctuate the design, adding a festive energy associated with Lunar New Year traditions and the vitality of the Year of the Horse.
Attention to detail extends beyond the face. The case back features a dedicated illustration of the Qianlima, reinforcing the symbolic narrative of the watch, while special-edition packaging mirrors the same mythical theme, making it a considered gift or collector’s piece for the season.

Built on G-SHOCK’s slim-profile 2100 series, the watch balances visual impact with everyday wearability. Beneath its refined exterior, the model remains true to G-SHOCK’s reputation for durability and innovation. Smartphone Link functionality allows seamless connectivity, while Tough Solar technology ensures reliable performance without the need for frequent battery changes—practical features suited to both daily life and long-term use.

The G-SHOCK Year of the Horse GBM-2100CX-9A is priced at RM1,388 and will be available via the Casio official website from 12 January 2026, followed by G-SHOCK stores and authorised retailers nationwide later in January.
