Decorate your kitchen with Cosentino and a look inspired by artist Red Hong Yi

Designing a home is more than just creating a visually appealing space—it’s about crafting an environment that supports your well-being and fuels your passions. For artist Red Hong Yi, who balances a fulfilling creative career with family life, having a tranquil space to unwind and recharge is essential.

A Calm Environment

Red shares how she designed her ideal home hobby space in collaboration with Cosentino, blending her love for cooking and literature into one inviting area. Cooking serves as a creative outlet for Red, offering a chance to express herself and relieve stress. She designed her kitchen with this in mind, aiming to create a space that inspires creativity and encourages calm.

Living in a middle-terrace house with limited natural light, Red wanted to make the kitchen feel spacious. She achieved this by enhancing the flow from the front to the back of the house, giving the illusion of a larger space. The kitchen features soft neutral tones and a warm, inviting palette, with darker wood materials that add depth and sophistication.

High Quality Materials

Red selected Cosentino’s Dekton Marmorio for her kitchen countertop and island. This durable, aesthetically pleasing surface was ideal for her culinary activities, especially when working with high-temperature recipes. Red even conducted her own tests, using kitchen utensils and turmeric juice to ensure the materials met her standards.

Additionally, Cosentino’s commitment to sustainability aligned with Red’s values, making it the perfect choice for her home. In addition to her love for cooking, Red is an avid reader. The artist created a dedicated study corner where she can unwind and draw inspiration from her books.

Show Off What You Got

To house her growing collection, Red designed the Totem Shelf in collaboration with Cosentino. This unique storage piece, crafted using the Earthic by Silestone XM collection and reclaimed materials, merges functionality with artistry. The Totem Shelf doubles as a personal gallery, showcasing Red’s favorite books and cherished trinkets.

Red’s home hobby space reflects her commitment to design, creativity, and sustainability. By blending her passions for cooking and reading, Red has created a space that nurtures both relaxation and inspiration. Through Cosentino, you too can design your ideal creative space that fosters balance, work and personal passions.
