The Zenith DEFY Extreme Jungle is designed for nature enthusiasts

Zenith has unveiled the DEFY Extreme Jungle, the final edition in its series of 1/100th of a second chronographs, limited to just 50 pieces. Following the Desert and Glacier models, the Jungle edition is inspired by the wild energy and mystery of the jungle, designed to withstand the harshest environments, whether deep in nature or the urban “concrete jungle.”

Exquisite Craftsmanship

Crafted from brushed titanium, the DEFY Extreme Jungle features a rugged 45mm case with a dodecagonal bezel and pusher protectors made from Tiger’s Eye, a rare and striking gemstone known for its golden-brown hues and natural reflections.

This stone, used in jewelry for centuries, adds a unique and luxurious touch to each watch, as no two pieces are identical due to the natural variations in the stone. The watch’s case is engineered for high performance, with water resistance up to 20 ATM, making it suitable for extreme conditions.

Precise Timekeeping

The open sapphire dial is tinted green, reflecting the jungle theme, while tiger-colored counters subtly mimic tiger stripes. Beige luminescent markers and hands ensure legibility in any environment. The DEFY Extreme Jungle is powered by the El Primero 9004 automatic chronograph movement, the world’s fastest, offering 1/100th of a second precision.

Notably, this high-frequency movement operates with two independent mechanisms, namely one at 5Hz for timekeeping, and one at 50Hz for the chronograph, enabling the chronograph seconds hand to make a full rotation every second for outstanding clarity.

The watch also features an interchangeable strap system, allowing wearers to switch between a titanium bracelet, a khaki green rubber strap, and a black Velcro strap for versatility.
