What makes Clase Azul Tequila Blanco Ahumado unique is that it is cultivated through the transformative power of fire exerted upon agave.

In terms of taste, this unaged tequila is likely to appeal to spirit lovers who lean more towards smoky beverages like peated whisky. The colour is brilliantly crystal clear with silver highlights with aromas of smoked agave, fresh plum and red apple.

A sip unravels smoked agave with hints of fresh lemon with a mineral front that gives way to a silky finish with smoky undertones. The brand suggests enjoying its new tequila neat in a flute glass. No doubt, Clase Azul Tequila Blanco Ahumado is an innovative expression of tequila. The primary reason for that it is made with ancestral tequila-making methods.  Made exclusively from blue agave (Agave tequilana var. azul) cultivated in Los Altos de Jalisco.

The agave for this spirit is cooked in a traditional pit oven in Los Altos de Jalisco, where it is dug into the earth and heated with wood and volcanic rock.  This artisanal cooking method imparts a unique depth to the spirit, infusing it with rich, smoky agave undertones.

When discussing Clase Azul, its decanter is a constant part of the conversation. This new expression is no different as it employs unique materials and traditional processes for its decanter. The finish on the glass evokes smoke during cooking with the dark ceramic base recalling the volcanic rocks used in the pit oven.

Both the copper cap and emblem also reference the stills used during the tequila’s distillation. The inaugural release of Clase Azul Tequila Blanco Ahumado is presented in an exclusive case that celebrates its debut. As with all its other expressions, this expression is also kosher certified by OK Kosher.
