The BMW Shorties, the longest running competition for creative content creation returns in 2024 to discover and celebrate home grown talents. This year, the competition opens with a new theme – Pulse with submissions starting from 29th July until 30th September 2024.

 For Content Creators

The return of the premium automaker’s initiative for digital content creation celebrates its 18th year running. With its new theme the BMW Shorties aims to challenge local content creators in finding new and creative ways to innovate storytelling and pursue their passions in the creative medium.

“Last year, the BMW Shorties underwent a transformation, evolving to find new unconventional ways to showcase the exceptional talents of local digital content creators,” said Sashi Ambi, Director of Corporate Communications and Sustainability at BMW Group Malaysia.

“This, in turn, fuelled us to break through creative boundaries with a reignited passion. This year, the theme ‘Pulse’, an inspiration from our passion in driving electrified mobility forward and the many first-of-its-kind initiatives here, serves as motivation to keep on driving the newest ideas and concepts for innovation as well as setting new benchmarks and standards.”

This year, the esteemed BMW Shorties judging panel will consist of five multiple award-winning judges – Saw Teong Hin (Puteri Gunung Ledang and You Mean The World To Me), Nadiah Hamzah (Motif), Jeany Amir (Bu, Kasih Suci), Tunku Mona Riza (Redha and Rain Town) and Ghazi Alqudcy (Temporary Visa, Letters from the Ends of the World).
